Hunger

Because of our donors, we are tackling the issue of hunger among our elderly. For older adults, not having ample, nutritious food to eat can seriously impact their health and independence. By delivering 50,000 meals-on-wheels annually to seniors of our community, including the frail, homebound and needy, MorseLife addresses this issue head-on. But there is so much more to do. Through generous support, donors enable us in reaching out to many more seniors at risk of hunger. Going hungry is just not acceptable in this day and age – a gift to our Meals-on-Wheels program helps more than you can ever imagine.

Independence

For seniors, being able to remain in their homes is so important. MorseLife addresses this issue head on, by providing home care upon hospital discharge or when they need it to help them live their daily lives with as much independence as possible. But there is so much more to do. Because of our donors, we can reach out to many more seniors at risk of losing their independence. Remaining at home in our later years maintains our quality of life and dignity – a gift to fund home care services to make this possible helps more than you can ever imagine.

Recovery

After hospital or rehabilitation center discharge, many seniors still need some help at home, but often have little or no family support and limited income. It is scary. Because of donors, frail and needy seniors get the help they need – the safety net that ensures they do not fall through the cracks upon coming home from the hospital after surgery or illness. MorseLife provides home-based nursing and therapy, help with personal care, meal preparation and housekeeping until our most frail and neediest clients get back on their feet. These vital services also help to avoid a costly hospital readmission.
